SLS 2008 Russia Program Files
2008 DOCUMENTS CONTINUE TO BE POSTED AS THE PROGRAM NEARS. The following are important documents and links participants and faculty
must read in detail before departing for SLS Russia. We recommend you download
and print them for future reference
- Visa Application Instructions for Americans and Visa Application Instructions for Canadians. All foreign travelers to Russia are
required to have a visa. If you arrive in Russia without a visa you will
not be allowed to leave the airport.
- new* SLS 2008 Handbook - This
guide, written with input from many past participants over the years, should
answer all your questions about coming to
Russia and the SLS program.
- SLS Russia 2008 Schedule This schedule will change regularly up to the date of the seminars. You will be given a current schedule when you arrive. Use this to get an idea what's happening when.
- Liability Waiver (all
participants must fill out and return this form to SLS by mail or FAX
before participating in the seminars)
- SLS requires that you
carry insurance covering you while traveling in Russia. Please check
with your insurance agent if you are not sure about yours. You may also
purchase insurance through MEDEX Insurance Services. For four dollars per day MEDEX supplies you with $100,000 worth of coverage
including medical evacuation. To purchase this MEDEX policy contact MEDEX at (800)
732-5309 and they will gladly process your application over the phone. This is an
important measure to take. Make sure you are adequately covered.
- Please make certain you
have provided SLS with your travel itinerary so as to insure that you
are met at the airport. A program representative will personally confirm
each of your flight itineraries with you before you leave. If you have not
been contacted, email your travel plans to Assistant Director Greg Seib (info@sumlitsem.org).
