ACCOMODATIONS
Montreal has a large range of accommodations options for participants to choose from. The Grey Nun residence at Concordia, where block reservations for a number of SLS participants have been made, is a centrally-located dormitory style residence. There is a mixture of single and double rooms, kitchenettes and lounges, a games room, a common room on the ground floor, a small fridge in each room, and access to a garden.
The Grey Nun building is a short walk to Concordia University, where classes will be held. It is located right in the downtown area and is close to shops, restaurants, bakeries, bars and everything else Montreal has to offer.

GETTING AROUND: SLS assistants pick up every participant at the airport, take people to their accommodations, and give them an orientation tour of the immediate area. Assistants will also show participants where the University is. No one ever gets lost with the SLS programs -- not at the airport, and not in the city... unless they want to get lost in the city, at some point. Montreal has a great transit system, but is also a beautiful city to walk around -- whether in the Plateau neighbourhood that is full of great restaurants, boutiques and bars, the throbbing downtown core, or the cobbled streets of Old Montreal.

A variety of short-term Montreal apartments are always available on the Montreal Craigslist, under sublets/temporary and vacation rentals. Short term hotels rentals a short walk from the school are also available at Hotel Trylon Apartments .

THE PROGRAM FACILITIES
Classes, lectures and workshops will take place at the Sir George Williams campus of Concordia University in the heart of the city. Readings will be located at great spots in the downtown area. Check out some of the downtown campus buildings here.
Please note: Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops. For those coming from outside of North America, please remember to bring plug adapters for all your electrical appliances.
