Sunday, December 11
10.00 – 21.00 Excursion to the Karen Giraffe Centre and Olepolos outdoor restaurant for nyoma choma (barbeque) in the beautiful Ngong Hills. There is an additional cost of US$20 or Ksh 1,400 for this trip, which covers transportation and food, does not include Giraffe Centre fee, approx. Ksh 700, or drinks at Olepolos. Please sign-up for this trip at the bulletin board in the lobby by Saturday night. Meet in the hotel lobby at 09.45 sharp to board buses

Tuesday, December 13
Transport from Nairobi to Lamu (Flight schedule will be posted in lobby).
Complimentary tours of Old Town Lamu will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Meet in front of Petley’s at 16.30 (in front of Petley’s will be our default meeting location)
Wednesday, December 14
09.00 Meet at main jetty in front of Petley’s to be lead to seminar spaces
09.30 – 12.00 Morning Sessions: Catherine Bush, Toi Derricotte and Doreen Baingana
14.00 Optional Shella Beach Trip (Afternoon sessions moved to Tuesday). There is an additional fee for this excursion—beachgoers will split the cost of transport to Shella by dhow sailboat. Meet at the main jetty in front of Petley’s at 13.45

16:00 - 20:00 Dhow sailboat ride to and tour of Matandoni, a small village on Lamu.
