Points to Remember:

SLS does provide complimentary pick-up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, but only on December 13th and 14th (any time of the day or night); we have the same policy for departures on the 28th and 29th of December. Some participants will undoubtably arrive early or leave late from the program, and while we can put you in contact with our travel agent for reliable and safe airport pickup, participants are expected to pay for these services themselves.

As soon as you are accepted into the progam you'll want to make arrangements for travel between Nairobi and Lamu Island. We very strongly recommend flying, and can help you make reservations through our SLS-affiliated and Nairobi-based travel agent. These tickets are roughly US300 round trip, and fights will sell out. SLS cannot gaurantee seating on these flights on the 21st, though in the past we've found that if they are booked well in advance, there is little problem flying on the day one wishes.
